Speed lock-up device (LUD) is a speed-dependent locking device that is a seismic product developed according to the principle of throttling resistance when fluid movement, especially when fluid passes through the orifice, and is widely used in continuous girder bridges. The speed locker adopts the cylinder structure filled with silicone grease, using the viscous characteristics of the liquid in motion, the movement resistance is very small at low speed, and when the speed rises to the design value, the movement resistance increases rapidly, and the speed locker changes from flexible to rigid and "locked". The speed locker is generally installed between the beam body and the pier platform, under normal circumstances, the speed locker can meet the horizontal displacement caused by the beam body angle and temperature difference deformation. Under the action of braking force, wind load or seismic load, the speed locker automatically locks, so that the structure changes from one fixed pier under normal conditions to two or more fixed piers, effectively distributing the load of the superstructure to multiple piers, so that the force of the structure is more uniform.
