At 10:30 a.m. in the morning of 29 July, the ceremony of Chengyu passenger railway’s track laying was held at Rongchang, Chongqing, which symbols that Chengyu passenger railway officially began the work of track laying. The railway is expected to be completed in June the next year, and at that time it will only take 90 minutes from Chengdu to Chongqing. The completion of Chengyu passenger railway will symbol the opening up of Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu railway, and in the future it will only take 12 hours from Chengdu to Shanghai.
