In order to understand the development trend of cutting-edge bridge technology, our company sent staff to participate in the 2020 (Ninth) International Bridge and Tunnel Technology Conference from September 23 to 25. This conference was held in Guangzhou, with the theme of “innovation leading, equal emphasis on construction and maintenance”, focusing on the Shenzhen-China Passage, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Crossing the Pearl River Estuary Passage, the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the Shanghai-Sutong Yangtze River Bridge, and the Huangmaohai Bridge. The construction and development of a series of major domestic projects will explore the problems and challenges encountered by the industry in planning and construction, operation and maintenance, and safety assurance in the future.
At the conference, four academicians Miao Changwen, Luc Taerwe, Niu Xinqiang, and Wu Zhishen gave excellent reports on key technologies such as concrete for bridges, large navigation tunnels, and post-disaster toughness enhancement of bridge and tunnel structures.
